Do my patients need an app or an account?
No. Patients book from a link in any browser and confirm by text. They enter a name, mobile number and email, then get a calendar invite with a one-tap reschedule link.
How do SMS reminders work, and do they cost extra?
Texts go out 48 hours and 2 hours before each visit. Patients reply C to confirm or tap a link to reschedule. They're included on every plan with no per-text fees, for US and Canadian mobile numbers. For therapy clinics, reminders never name the service.
Is Tempo really HIPAA-ready?
It's built for it: a signed BAA on every plan, encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access and a full audit log. Compliance also depends on how your clinic uses its tools, so we walk you through a setup checklist during onboarding.
Can I bring my existing patients and appointments?
Yes. Upload a spreadsheet and we map the columns in one step, usually in a few minutes. Group plans include a free import by our team, including future appointments from your current booking tool.
What happens when someone cancels late or doesn't show?
You set the rules: a deposit to hold the slot, a late-cancel window (24 hours is common) and a fee. Fees are charged through your own Stripe account automatically, and the freed slot is offered to your waitlist straight away.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Plans are month-to-month, or yearly at 20% off. Cancel from Settings and export your patient records as CSV or PDF for 90 days afterwards. Yearly plans can be refunded in full within 30 days.
